Master Anjan started yoga from his childhood with the assistance of his first GURU Md. Jamal Uddin. At the age of 8, he participated in his first yoga competition and placed first. Since then, he has won more than 350 yoga competitions in several states of India.
His numerous awards have been gained through such competitions as: All India Competitions; National Yoga Competitions; All Bengal State Yoga Competitions; World Yoga Society, Kolkata; Eastern India Yoga Talent Contest, Jamshedpur; All India Yoga Beauty & Yoga Talent Contest; Champion of Champions in Inter Club Competitions; "Yoga King" Title Holder (2006), Jamshedpur; "Yoga Sundarya" Title holder (2000), Ranchi, Sarbabharatiya Sangit & Sanskrit Parishad; and India Open Yoga Competition.
Anjan is also a commerce graduate from the University of Kalyani. His yoga qualification is Sarbabharatiya Sangit & Sanskrit Parishad, RATNA in YOGA (1st place), C.W.Y.S. (1st class), D.W.Y.S. (1st class), M.M.W.Y.S. He has also participated in Yoga Camp organised by the Yoga Centre, Department of Physical Education at the University of Kalyani, and participated in the All India Inter-University Yogasana Championship, organised by Guru Nanak Dev University.
Having taught yoga since 1999, Anjan believes that "yoga is our life and we can't live without yoga. It is spiritual bliss." He feels that regular yoga practice makes for a fresh, relaxed mind and a healthy figure. "Yoga is fruitful at any stage of life." |
