Melodie Chen

Melodie Chen
Melodie started dancing when she was 13 years old and mastered traditional Chinese dance, modern jazz and contemporary dance. She was selected by Hoi Tin dance group as a dancer and a singer during her adolescence. She was trained for acting and singing at Asia Television Limited and participated in various TV programmes. She also worked as a show singer with her dance group performing all over Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

Subsequently, Melodie moved to Paris and furthered her studies in modern jazz, street dance, hip hop and Latin dance. She was working as a dancer and performed in different shows and presentations for some of the most prestigious fitness clubs in Paris as well as sports companies including Le Coq Sportif.

When she returned to Hong Kong, Melodie was a featured performer in promotional events for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, adidas, the Brazilian dance show, Fitness First and different group entertainment companies such as Lan Kwai Fong Entertainment. She also participated in dance performances for Phillip Wain fitness clubs in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong. Melodie has even dabbled in musicals, touring with "Peter Pan" in Singapore and participating in "Around the World in 80 Days" - her second production with Faust.

Melodie is currently a fitness instructor in various dance and fitness studios teaching Funky dance, Hip hop funky, Boxing funky, Latino funky, Belly funky, Body funky, Lap dance and Sensual Fitness. She has been to various fitness conventions including Asia-Fit in Hong Kong and the Idea World Fitness Convention in Las Vegas. She met Ania Przeplasko, international pole dance fitness master instructor and performer, who has inspired Melodie to learn and teach pole dancing.
