Fitness comes hand in hand with Yvonne's passion for architecture and interior design. Teaching group exercise has been as equally rewarding for her as creating living spaces because both generate a great sense of job satisfaction, especially seeing people come away from her classes with satisfaction and different levels of achievements.
Returning to Hong Kong after 10 years in Scotland, Yvonne searched for a substitute for competitive team hockey and lacrosse, and joined a fitness gym in 1998. Two years later, after intensive boxing training, she was challenged to take the BodycombatTM certification, after which she progressed to mastering other programmes such as BodybalanceTM, BodyviveTM, Fitball, Yoga, Pilates & Allegro, and Studio Series.
Yvonne started teaching in 2000. Besides teaching group and private classes, she enjoys taking part in training development programmes for new instructors. Most recently, she shifted her focus to Pilates, Gyrotonic and Yoga, having discovered that these three different yet complementary principles can help eliminate many sports injuries. She aims to further expand her career in these principles and share their benefits with everyone.
