Personal Training

No other fitness company in Hong Kong provides the diversity of physical activities and entertainment that Pure Fitness has to offer. Whether you are burning calories on a treadmill while watching your favourite DVD, hiking in the altitude chamber or going toe-to-toe with a qualified boxing coach, Pure Fitness strives to make every training experience a positive and enjoyable one.

To assist you in your introduction to training at Pure Fitness, we are pleased to offer new cardholders two complimentary sessions with one of our full-time, internationally certified personal trainers.

To ensure we deliver the most advanced, science-based training principles, all our full-time trainers are internationally certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine in the United States.

Complimentary Training Sessions

Your first session with a trainer will serve to gather information regarding your current physical condition, identify any preferences you have that may be included in your training programme and outline any considerations that should be taken into account when designing your programme.

This session also focuses on improving posture, introduces you to the cardio-respiratory area of the centre, and outlines general stretching techniques to aid muscle recovery and address common postural distortions.

After reviewing your results, you will be able to make an informed decision about your training goals.

At your second complimentary appointment, your instructor will outline and then lead you through your personalised ‘Foundation Programme’. This programme is based on principles and guidelines from the leading health and fitness organisations around the world, and serves as an excellent introductory strength training programme.

We very much look forward to meeting you in the gym and helping you move towards your health and fitness goals. Of course, if at any time you need assistance in the gym, please don’t hesitate to contact one of the fitness staff directly or approach the Fitness Department desk located in the training area. Please note that in respect to other cardholders, we appreciate you refraining from approaching trainers who are working with other members or private training clients.

Personal Training

If you feel you need more guidance in the club, more variation in your training, or you wish to progress towards your training goals in the safest, most time-efficient way possible, we have a team of highly experienced personal trainers available to work with you. Our trainers work with physiotherapists and sports medicine personnel to ensure the safest, most effective training systems are available to our cardholders.

Our trainers will work with you to design programmes that are appropriate for your fitness level, goals and experience, and ensure you progress at an appropriate pace.

We also have a select team of specialist trainers in various areas, such as performance enhancement, pre- and post-natal exercise and triathlon conditioning.

Along with standard 60-minute training sessions, we offer express, high-intensity 30-minute training sessions for people with less time to devote to training.

Physiotherapy

Addressing muscle imbalances and postural distortions should be one of the initial focus points for any well-designed training programme. By performing a series of simple movements, a physiotherapist can detect muscle imbalances that may be causing you pain now or may contribute to pain in the future. Take advantage of this 20-minute complimentary postural check with our allied physiotherapists to get your training off to the best possible start.
