Fitness Training Etiquette

Welcome to Pure Fitness!

We endeavour to provide all cardholders and guests with the latest and most effective training equipment, the most up-to-date training information and exceptional levels of service, to make your training experience as rewarding and enjoyable as possible.

To assist us in creating a positive experience for all, we would like to draw your attention to the following guidelines:

- To assist in keeping equipment as clean and hygienic as possible, always use a towel and please wipe away excess sweat once you are finished.

- To keep the training area as organised and safe as possible, please ensure you put away all equipment once you have completed using it. If you need assistance, please contact a member of the Fitness Department.

- We encourage the universal training practice of 'working-in' with other people using equipment. This requires users to share equipment, meaning you rest or perform stretches off the machine, allowing others to use it while you do so.

- International safety and hygiene standards require participants to wear enclosed, athletic footwear while in the strength and cardio-respiratory training areas. Shoes are not required when participating in certain specialty classes and while using the boxing area.

- As a courtesy to other users and in an effort to maintain good working order of equipment, please lower weights with care.

- For your own safety, before utilising any specialist areas of the club (such as the Hypoxic Room and Boxing Ring), please ensure that you have participated in the appropriate Induction Class, and signed all relevant waivers. Trainers are always on hand to answer questions regarding the use of these areas.

- When attending Group Fitness classes, please arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time, and inform the instructor if you are new, pregnant, or have any health conditions that may be affected by participating in that class. In the interest of your own and other cardholder's safety, you may not be permitted to enter a class once it has commenced.

- For others' enjoyment, please ensure you turn your mobile phone off when entering any Group Fitness class.

If you have any comments or suggestions on how we can make Pure Fitness a more enjoyable and rewarding training environment, we would appreciate your feedback. We encourage you to complete a Cardholder Comment Card, or feel free to contact me directly by e-mail via jonathan@pure-fit.com.

Yours in health and fitness,

David Menhennett

Think About

Remember to warm up and cool down
Warming up and cooling down is important, they help increase flexibility and also decrease next day soreness.

Avoid processed sugars
Try to avoid 'white' sugars, which include table sugar, bread, pasta and rice, as these do not contain any valuable nutrients.
