It may have been a Saturday, but participants eagerly embraced this Open Day with Mike McSweeney's early morning 'Core Workshop'. Three weeks into the workshop and still tougher than ever - but the six-pack is on its way! The atmosphere maintained its high for Xiomara's awesome full-house Body Pump class. With everybody now facing the mirrors since we moved the stage, their focus was more on technique and body positions instead of the harbour view! The energy was ramped up a few notches more as Body Combat finished off the morning's run of power classes.
Luis kicked off the afternoon's dance session with his inimitable Reggaeton class. Every time he introduced a new move or thrust his hips, squeals of delight filled the room. Still centrestage with his fiery Latin spirit, Luis led a special wild weekend rendition of his Latino Jam class. When Lucia took to the stage, she changed the style and direction of the afternoon with her exceptional Jazz Funk class - attracting just as many observers as participants! Alfred followed with the flair of the Big Apple in his matchless New York City-style Hip Hop. For the 'high-flying' finale, Xiomara returned to present her amazing Jukari Fit-to-Fly class inspired by the acrobatic artistes of Cirque de Soleil.
From the Core to the circus with the grooves of New York, the Caribbean and Argentina, a great day was had by one and all. |
